Kilkenny Open 2012 Results - Amended

The Kilkenny Open 2012 was held on 11.2.2012 in Kilkenny College and was a great success. The competition fielded 187 entries making it the best attended event so far for K.J.C. It gives the Club momentum to build towards 2014 when the Club will celebrate its 50th Anniversary!

As always nothing good comes easy and the day went well due to the hard work of the committee and helpers. Principally amongst these was Gerry McDonald whose drive ensured that there was a competition. He was assisted on the day by Eavan, Tommy and Sarah Kavanagh (W.J.C. Legends) Róisín, Hugh, John, Fergus, Statia, Caroline, Sean, Alex, James & Graham MacHale from Judo Ichi Dai. Tournament Director this year was Anthony Delaney assisted by Billy and Thomas.
Anthony also togged off as a referee but was not called upon.

A special mention must go to the referees who kept the pace going and were extremely helpful with the tables and even sat at the tables and helped out! Thanks also to all the Clubs who sent competitors, the Order of Malta,  the staff of Kilkenny College and Kilkenny Brewery for their very generous Drinks reception in the Cellar Bar.
