Please note that the National squad training originally scheduled for the 2nd of Febraury will now take place on the 26th of January. This is to avoid a clash of dates with the Kilkenny Open.

The results of the Irish Closed Competition for 2007 are now available for download.
Only four of the Squad went to these Championships in Germany as this year has proved very expensive with the World Masters Championships being in Brazil earlier in the year and of course the Squad do not get funding and foot their own travel and accommodation. They still managed to come home with one Silver medal, thus maintaining their 100% record in International competitions.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Japanese Embassy in Ireland the winner of both the Mens and Womens Open event will each receive the Japanese Ambassador's Cup.

The Irish open entry date has being extended until 27th October.

The Child Welfare Protection course and Technical Course, originally scheduled for the 29th of September, have been postponed. A new date will be advised as soon as possible.
The Grading Sub Committee has decided to bring the The National Grading forward to Saturday 13th October instead of 10th November.
As part of the Tyrone and Donegal celebrations of the 400th Anniversary of the Flight of the Earls almost 80 members of the Ren-Bu-Kan club took part in the Festival of Judo in Dungannon Leisure Centre at the weekend.
